Vulcan fly-past

A DRAMATIC fly past over the sails of North Leverton's windmill was the icing on the cake of the family fun day.

The sun shone over the family fun weekend which gave photographers the chance to snap their pictures of a veteran Vulcan bomber.

Organiser Alan Grey said: ”There was a great atmosphere and it was well-supported by friends of North Leverton Windmill.”

Archery, Yorkshire Hawking Club and morris dancing took place in the mill yard, while the windmill was grinding flour, which was made into pizza dough by vistors of all ages.

There were lots of other attractions and stalls on both days including locally grown fresh vegetable boxes, a display of farm animals, feed and machinery.

On the Sunday, there was also an impressive line-up of classic cars, including exhibits from the Capri Club.
