VIDEO: Firefighters tackling huge blaze in Hayton

A MAJOR blaze in Hayton is being tackled by over 10 fire crews.

Flames are pouring out of a garage workshop on the village's main street.

The fire service have asked residents in the area to keep their doors and windows closed.

A member of the public has said that they believed the fire was caused by a gas explosion.

Notts Police have closed roads through Clarborough and Hayton and crews from Lincolnshire, Notts and South Yorkshire are on the scene.

Notts Fire and Rescue have asked all homes and schools in the area, particularly nearby Clarborough Primary School, to keep windows and doors shut while crews tackle the blaze.

The wind is currently blowing the smoke eastwards.
