TROLLIES were brimming over with wholesome food for needy animals after a collection at Wildbore Vetstop in Worksop.

The Turner Road veterinary practice made the donation to Thornberry Animal Sanctuary, where staff were ‘absolutely delighted’. Four trollies full of the feed - weighing in at more than 150kg - was handed over after a year-long collection.

Customer care manager Jenny Bricklebank said: “We do the veterinary work for the smaller animals at Thornberry and always support them in any way we can.”

“One of our suppliers does a reward scheme for our staff. The more food they sell, the staff get some for free. And they donated that free food to Thornberry.”
