Two brothers in court for axe robbery

A PAIR of Dinnington brothers who admitted raiding a town centre shop armed with an axe are to be sentenced in the new year.

John Galloway, 30, of Laughton Road, and Phillip Galloway, 28, of Manor Road, both Dinnington, appeared in custody at Sheffield Crown Court on Thursday 20th December.

The pair were due to stand trial earlier in the week but pleaded guilty at a hearing in November.

John Galloway admitted robbery, while Phillip Galloway admitted conspiracy to commit robbery, at the NA Dungworth Audiovision shop, on Laughton Road, on 11th August.

Sentencing was adjourned until Monday 7th January 2013 at Sheffield Crown Court. Both men were remanded in custody.
