SLIDESHOW: Charter Day in Retford

Families from across the region flocked to Retford to attend the town's annual Charter Day.

Despite the rain and cold weather, visitors enjoyed a variety of attractions including a fair in the market sqaure and a vintage tractor and vehicle parade through the town.

The May Day event marks the granting of the town charter in 1246, and has become one of the biggest fixtures in the Bassetlaw calendar.
