PICTURE SLIDESHOW: St Giles School prom

IT was glitz and glamour at Retford's St Giles School last month.

The hard-working Year 11 pupils and those from the Post 16 Centre donned their best suits and dresses to mark the end of their school years.

Pupils enjoyed a buffet, chocolate fountain and non-alcoholic cocktail bar before they danced the night away.

The event was organised by teacher Anita Denman and her teaching assistants Sally Gare and Michelle Charles.

Anita said: "It was a huge success and was down to all the support we got from all the members of staff attending and the parents."

"It was the first one we have organised but I'm sure we'll be having more after this."

She thanked all the staff and parents who attended the event, Bingham Carpets for supplying the red carpet, The Chocolate Kitchen for the chocolate fountain and Branching Out for supplying the flowers for the tables.
