New play parks for Carlton families

Guardian News

Guardian News

Carlton is set to benefit from two new play parks this year, following a £150,000 investment from Bassetlaw Council.

The authority will start work on new play provision on Lime Tree Avenue in the next month and on Beckett Avenue this July.

It is hoped that future funding can expand the play parks with a Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA).

Portfolio holder for environment and leisure Coun Julie Leigh said this was continuing commitment from the council to create better play facilities.

“We think it’s really important for both children and parents to have great play facilities they can enjoy,” she said this week.
