THE driver of a school mini bus which overturned on its way from Gainsborough to Market Rasen yesterday remains in hospital.

The 55-year-old, from Middle Rasen, suffered serious injuries when the bus carrying children from Aegir Community Special School in Gainsborough left the road and crashed through a hedge.

His condition is said to be stable in the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

Another adult passenger travelling on the mini bus, a woman from Market Rasen who was a carer for the children, was also injured.

She was taken to Lincoln County Hospital and treated for a broken collar bone. She has now been discharged from hospital.

None of the children on board the mini bus sustained any injuries.

Police investigating the incident are continuing to appeal for witnesses.

Anyone who saw the silver LDV mini bus yesterday (Monday) at around 3.20pm on Top Road, Osgodby, is asked to call Lincolnshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 240 of 20th February 2012.
