Man stable in hospital after Worksop ‘hammer attack’

A WOMAN has been arrested after a man was attacked with a hammer in Worksop last night (Saturday 26th January).

Emergency services were called to Lowtown Street just after 7pm where a 51-year-old woman received head injuries following a disagreement between a small group of people who knew each other.

Police say that a man was also hospitalised who is thought to have been hit with a hammer.

He is in a stable condition.

A 26-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of assault and remains in custody.
