Fundraisers have a ball and raise cash

IT was an evening of glitz and glamour as more than £7,000 was raised at the annual Bassetlaw Breastcare Appeal Grand Ball.

Supporters of the cause donned ball gowns and evening suits to soak up the atmosphere at Ye Olde Bell in Barnby Moor.

”It was an absolutely fantastic evening and it raised such a brilliant amount for the appeal,” said appeal co-ordinator Sally Richardson.

”I would like to thank our sponsors Williams and Baines Builders for their generosity and the hotel for such a wonderful atmosphere.”

A raffle and auction at the ball, held on Friday 6th November, also raised money for the appeal, which aims to support better breastcare facilities for Bassetlaw.
