Dogs die in Worksop house fire

THREE dogs died in a kitchen fire at a house in Worksop yesterday (Sunday) afternoon.

The fire service was called to the house on Priorswell Road at around 2.50pm.

Firefighters rescued five dogs from the fire, but sadly three had not survived. The remaining two were taken to a vets for treatment.

A Notts Fire and Rescue spokesman said they were alerted by neighbours because the owners were not at home when the fire broke out.

He added that the kitchen and ceiling was severely damaged.
