Concert raised hospice cash

John Bower from Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice collected a cheque for £700 from Anston Male Voice Choir chairman Barrie Kirby and musical director Howard Thomas.

Last month the choir held a concert at The Charnwood Hotel at Blyth to raise funds for the hospice at Anston.

It was a great success, with guests enjoying the evening’s entertainment along with a pie and pea supper.

Budding male singers are welcome to join choir any Thursday evening at Anston Parish Hall, North Anston, from 7pm to 9pm.
