Body found in river is missing Retford man

A BODY found in the River Idle has been identified as missing Retford man Russell White.

Police divers recovered Mr White's body from the river at Newington near Bawtry just after 4pm on Saturday 8th May.

The 44-year-old had last been seen in the Hallcroft area on Saturday 20th February, when he left home to go to the shops.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and police will now submit a file to the coroner.
