YOUNGSTERS Lucy Hill and Maisy Lyne showed that you are never too young to start fundraising.

The friends held a Christmas stall at Anston Cricket Club to raise much-needed funds for Dinnington charity Safe@Last.

Lucy, eight, and Maisy, seven, made buns and cakes with the help of their mothers.

Then, with the help of two other youngsters, Jacob Lyne and Ellie Bennett, they sold them in the cricket club.

They raised an impressive £70.50 for the charity, which helps children and young people who are at risk of running away.

“Well done the youngsters, and thanks to everyone who helped and who bought their produce for this great local charity,” said a cricket club spokesman.
