PUPILS from Ranby House attended the annual Prep School’s Tennis Tournament at Repton School on Sunday 20th May.

Year 8 pupils did themselves proud when travelling to Derbyshire. The under 13A pairing of Grace Easterbrook and Madeleine Foulds won four out of their five matches, qualifying for the final.

In that match they scored a convincing win against Bilton Grange, winning by six games to one. As under 13 girls’ champions, they were presented with an impressive cup by the Headmaster of Repton School.

Philippa Wilson and Ellie Jackson also played well in the girls’ under 13B pairing, narrowly missing out on a semi-final place.

The under 13 boys’ team was represented by Tomas Corchado and Sam Routledge (1st pair), and Hugh Maw and Harry Riddle (2nd pair). Although they did not qualify for the knock out stages, both pairs won more than half of their matches with Tomas and Sam coming top of their group.
