IF YOU fancy taking a quiet break from all the excitement and partying this Jubilee weekend, why not pay a visit to Gainsborough Heritage Centre in North Street?
Their latest exhibition boasts a variety of Royal memorabilia commemorating Coronation and Jubilee celebrations since Queen Victoria was on the throne.
“Many of the items relate to Gainsborough and how we celebrated these Royal occasions,” said Carlton Bradley, of the Gainsborough Heritage Association.
“We have even got a mock-up of a street scene and someone’s front room as they would have looked in the 1950s.”
The exhibition is open Saturday 2nd June 9am-3pm and Sunday 3rd June 11am-4pm.
