Jazz quartet take Tickhill by storm

FANCY an evening of jazz on Friday night? Tickhill Music Society has just the ticket for you.
The Mark Ellis Jazz Quartet - saxophone, keyboard, bass and drums - will bring an air of cool to St Mary’s Primary School, St Mary’s Road in Tickhill, on Friday 18th January.
The quartet is led by professional saxophonist Mark Ellis, who has worked with such stars as The Temptations, Percy Sledge, Ben E King, Aerosmith, Fred Wesley and Dennis Rollins.
Expect a performance which exudes cool jazz and old-school funk in the style of Charlie Parker, Maceo Parker, Grover Washington Jnr, Miles Davis, John Coltrane and more.
Tickets are £10 adults, students aged 16 - 19 free, under-16s free if accompanied by an adult.
Society subscription members are also admitted free.
