Parents across Nottinghamshire have received offers for their children to start primary school in September 2016 - but some may want to appeal their secured places.
And more than nine out of ten parents have secured a place at their preferred school.
However, 2.2 per cent of people across the county have been offered a place at a school they didn’t request on their application, meaning some people may want to appeal the decision.
A council spokesman said: “Parents have a right to appeal about their child’s school place and all appeals are wholly independent.”
The deadline for appeals is Tuesday, May 17.
