Hospice golf day

A WHOPPING £3,000 was raised for Bassetlaw Hospice as the charity teed-off the biggest event of its fundraising year.

The annual golf day, at Worksop Golf Club in Windmill Lane, saw 128 players form 32 teams.

In first place was team L.O.F.T with a score of 93, second were the Four Amigos with 92 and in third came Leverton B with 90.

Hospice fund raising co-ordinator Helen Eshelby said it was a great day and the weather held out.

“Thanks to Worksop Golf Club, the club captain, staff, sponsors and of course all the players,” she said.

“We hope to run the event again next year and look forward to seeing a lot of the players again.”
