England may have exited the World Cup three week’s ago but that didn’t stop the people of Harthill celebrating this year’s sport-themed carnival on Saturday.
The family event took place on Spens Field on 12th July and featured football freestyler Dan Magness, children’s entertainer Jolly Jingles as well as stunt bikers, bucking bronco and an inflatable football pitch.
Also starring were vintage tractors, shire horses and a dog show.
The day started with a parade through the villiage as locals turned out in fancy dress costumes and enjoyed zumba dancing and a jazz band.
Cash prizes were up for grabs for the top three floats which were donated by JH Skepper & Son Ltd.
