GAINSBOROUGH Theatre Company present their latest play Our Promise at the Old Nick Theatre from Monday 27th February - Saturday 3rd March at 7.30pm.

Written and directed by talented local dramatist Kim Newby, Our Promise is a touching tale.

It follows hot on the heels of her previous plays for Gainsborough Theatre Company Washday Blues and Strictly Flemenco.

Our Promise tells of happy schoolday exploits and aspirations on the part of loyal friends, tempered by the often less welcome reality of subsequent years and events.

Woven into the story is a fascinating blend of humour, bathos and tragedy.

Gainsborough Theatre Company’s publicity officer and actor Graham Nixon said: “This is certainly a tale with a twist in its tail. And a hankie is recommended for the finale.”

Cast member Sue Hill said: “It really is a beautiful play.”

The Old Nick Theatre is at 31 Spring Gardens, Gainsborough, DN21 2AY.

Tickets are available priced £7.50 / £6.50 from 01427 810616 or email humberdog.profling@virgin.net for more information.
