AMATEUR musicians and vocalists are gearing up for the 2012 Worksop Music and Drama Festival.

Despite the week-long event being in March, the closing date for entries is coming up on 14th January 2012.

From piano to percussion, and tenors to trombones, talented musicians and vocalists are encouraged to enter into a category.

There are even categories for school choirs, bands and various ensembles.

If you play an instrument or sing, why not take a look at the syllabus and you could showcase your favourite pieces.

The festival will be held across three venues: Worksop College, North Notts Community Arena and The Crossing.
