Gas pipe work closes footpaths

Northern Gas Networks will be carrying out essential work to replace half a mile of gas mains in Robin Hood’s Bay with new durable plastic pipes The work stars on Monday January 6 in New Road and will take more than three months to complete. Footpaths will be closed. All roads will remain fully open and traffic will not be affected.

Garry Farnhill, Customer Operations Area Manager, Northern Gas Networks said; “We are working hard to minimise disruption and have carefully planned our work so it coincides with the low tourist season.

“We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding, and apologise in advance for any inconvenience this essential work may cause.”
