Dogs Trust and Bassetlaw Council will be running a free microchipping session ahead of the changes in law taking effect.
As of April 2016, dog microchips will be compulsory.
Dogs Trust and Bassetlaw’s Dog Warden will be at Bracebridge Recreation Ground, Priorswell Road from 11am-3pm on Monday 9th September.
Cabinet member for neighbourhoods, Councillor Julie Leigh said: “I’m delighted that Dogs Trust are able to visit Bassetlaw to provide free microchipping, which is the most effective way to get a dog returned to its owner.”
