EVER wanted to experience life growing up in a different era?
Youngsters from a Retford school got just that recently when they were transported back to the Victorian times.
Pupils at St Swithun’s School took part in a Victorian afternoon at Bassetlaw Museum to find out what life was like for children back then.
The children had been studying the Victorians at school.
They had been learning about what life was like for poor children growing up then.
So to learn how wealthy children lived they visited the museum in Retford.
They learnt about children who used to live in Amcott House, dressed up in traditional clothes and had a go playing with Victorian toys.
