At no point in my two years as Editor have I received so much correspondence on one single issue as I have this week on the current Worksop Town saga.

And even though we are running an extra page of letters in the Guardian this week, I still couldn’t fit them all in (they are all on our website, though).

This just goes to show the strength of feeling on the matter.

The supporters, people at the club, and other senior figures in the town are rallying to save the Tigers, and the Guardian is 100 per cent behind them.

Worksop Town ceasing to exist is just not an option.

There is no doubt about it, the club is currently in a very precarious position, but judging by how those who love the club have galvanised over the last week, I have no doubt that this isn’t the end of Worksop Town FC.
