I am glad to hear British Transport Police are cracking down on yobs on trains between Worksop and Nottingham.
Being stuck on a train with people behaving drunkenly and anti-socially can be extremely unpleasant and intimidating.
That’s why it is good to see the police treating the matter with the seriousness it deserves.
I am sure many rail users who have to endure this sort of behaviour will feel reassured by the presence of extra police patrols on Friday and Saturday night services.
It also sends out a message to those who make other travelers’ journeys a misery that their behaviour will not be tolerated and that they will face serious repercussions.
