People were literally dancing in the streets on Saturday as Dance In Town came back to Worksop.
The event, organised by Bassetlaw Council, showcases all kinds of dance and gives people the chance to have a go themselves.
“We were praying for sunshine and the weather stayed dry for us,” said exercise and physical activity development officer Alex Porter.
“It went really well and the square was the perfect location for the event.”
The day featured performances from local dance schools, before members of the public got a chance to take to the floor.
“The event is all about raising the profile of dance schools in the area and giving pupils the chance to show off their skills,” said Alex.
“It is about getting people to join in, have fun, and get fit at the same time.”
“Once the schools have done their performances the students go out and grab people and get them to join in.”
