Worksop murder probe update: Cordon removed from scene

A police cordon has been removed from the scene when a man died after been assaulted in Worksop on Saturday night.

Glen Kitchens, from the Sunnyside area of Worksop, was pronounced dead at Bassetlaw Hospital on Saturday 6th April.

The assault happened at around 7.30pm in broad daylight in Bridge Street, near its junction with Central Avenue and Ryton Street.

Four teenage boys, three aged 15 and one aged 16, who were arrested on suspicion of murder will remain in custody.

The cordon which closed off several shops on Bridge Street has been removed and the shops reopened this morning (Monday).
