A Worksop woman failed to inform the authorities that her partner had moved in with her.

Michaila Hardman, Maple Leaf Gardens, Worksop, 42, appeared at Worksop Magistrates’ Court and admitted that she failed to inform Bassetlaw Council and the Department of Work and Pensions that her partner was living with her.

Ian Pridham, defending, told the court that Hardman’s partner had had an affair and left her. They then reconciled but she didn’t know if it would work out so she didn’t report it. He added that she has been very worried and remorseful.

Hardman was given a community order with 120 hours unpaid work and £100 costs.
