Notts’ deputy Police and Crime Commissioner has launched a new fund to help local organisations tackle crime and disorder.

The Community Safety Partnership Fund is available to Notts-based groups and projects which specifically address issues of criminality such as drug and alcohol addiction and anti-social behaviour.

Applicants must demonstrate previous success to receive a share of the fund and also support the key aims of commissioner Paddy Tipping’s Police and Crime Plan.

Deputy Commissioner Chris Cutland said: “This new grant scheme will pump funding into ‘grassroots’ organisations which are working hard to make Notts safer. Localised projects are very often the best-placed to deliver permanent solutions because they are working in the heart of the community where the problems are occurring.”

Community organisations have until late May to submit their application for funding.

Application forms are available at www.nottinghamshire.pcc.police.uk.
