A BIRTHDAY night out proved costly for two young men at Worksop Magistrates’ Court.
Mark Foster, 21, had been out celebrating his birthday when he got involved in an altercation outside a Worksop takeaway after a man started shouting abuse at him.
His friend Nathan Newbury, 20, got involved and the pair drunkenly swung their arms about.
Defence solicitor Andrew Osbourne said the pair normally do not drink and are full of remorse.
Foster, of Hardwick Road West, Worksop and Newbury, of Mansfield Road, Corbriggs, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and were given a 12 month community order.
