A LANGOLD man appeared in court, charged with kicking a policeman in the groin.
Worksop Magistrates heard how Brian Edwin Layhe, 50, from Knott End, assaulted PC Jonathon Daniels on 4th April .
The court how Layhe became aggressive when they police attempted to arrest him.
Layhe pleaded guilty, but said that he did not deliberately assault the officer and had been drinking.
PC Daniels did not sustain any serious injuries, but did ‘suffer some discomfort’.
Magistrates ordered Layhe to pay £50 compensation, a £50 fine, £85 in court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
Layhe told the court: “You will not see me in court again - I am getting my life together and I am sorry.”
