Shoppers were entertained by STMA Fitness kung fu studio as part of Chinese new year.

They performed a traditional Chinese lion dance and brought part of Bridge Street to a standstill.

To celebrate the year of the snake, the group performed the traditional, but not often seen snake lion dance.

David Graham, owner of STMA gym, said: “At the start we had only a hand full of spectators yet within only a short time of the drums banging and symbols crashing the whole of Worksop came to a standstill outside the STMA gym on Bridge Street.”

“After we finished lots of the public came to have there photos taken with the lion and as a treat we even had Kung Fu Panda himself making a visit to entertain and having his photo taken with the young children.”

The group also recently had their first public Chinese new year party.
