Worksop Miners Welfare held a coffee morning in aid of Help for Heroes and Macmilan, raising £1413.16 to be split equally between both charities.

H4H north-east regional co-ordinator Tony Eaton, pictured centre with welfare secretary Alec Woodward and treasurer Jan Sargison, thanked everyone for their generous support on the day.

“The war may end but for our wounded, the battle will have only just begun.Soldiers, sailors and airmen who are injured today will still need our support tomorrow and in the days that follow, for the rest of their lives,” he said.
