Worksop Sea Cadets were hard at work packing bags for shoppers at Sainsbury’s supermarket on Saturday.
The cadets, in partnership with the store, are trying to raise enough cash to buy a minibus to use for competitions.
Sore manager Crispin On said: “We have enjoyed the partnership with the sea cadets and would like to thank customers of the store for helping to raise the much needed funds.”
The cadets are all aged from 10 to 18 and meet every Monday and Thursday evening at TS Bentinck on Gateford Road.
Some of the Worksop cadets will also be taking part in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations by escorting her down the Thames.
