Ten new jobs have been created in Worksop after a national retailer opened a store in the town centre selling men’s fashion.

Officers Club has opened a store on Bridge Place in Worksop in the premises previously occupied by Textiles Direct.

The company has more than 65 stores across the country and their popularity is growing as customer demand continues despite the downturn in the economic climate.

It claims to bring you key trends at affordable prices, providing outstanding quality fashion which won’t break the bank.

Officers Club chief executive, Steven Cohen, said the store will not just bring new jobs to the Worksop area.

“We are really excited to be opening a new store on Bridge Place, Worksop,” he said.

“Not only will this provide a number of jobs in the community, we also hope that the store will create a real buzz within the local area.”

Before the new Worksop store opened the nearest Officer’s Club were in Meadowhall and at the East Midlands Designer Outlet.

A spokesman for the company said the great quality and innovative styles of Officers Club clothes has created a loyal following among trendsetting crowds, with clothing ranging from casual to night out looks.
