Services across Bassetlaw were disrupted as workers walked out in a bitter row over pensions in what was described as the biggest national strike in generations.
A rally set off from the Forest Recreation Ground in Nottingham, marching through the city in the fight to protect public pensions.
Several trade unions including UNISON, Unite, NUT, NASWT and FBU took part in the march.
