Businesses and individuals across Notts are being helped to take advantage of new superfast broadband arriving in the region.
In partnership with Notts County Council, North Notts College and The NE Group are teaming up to offer free workshops to those wanting to learn more about the new technologies, which will arrive in the county by 2015 as part of a wider investment.
The workshops focus on how mobile marketing and social media can be best utilised.
Edwinstowe House will play host to a workshop with a mobile focus on Tuesday 14th May, taking place from 8-10am.
Jayne Francis-Ward from Notts County Council said; “The use of social media and mobile marketing are becoming an increasingly important way for businesses and organisations to communicate with customers.
“It is just one of the many ways improved broadband access will open up a whole new world of opportunities for Nottinghamshire businesses.”
On Wednesday 15th May, there will be a workshop in Retford, Idle Valley Nature Reserve the venue for a session on how to maximise business through Facebook.
