AN AMBITIOUS girl from Beckingham has entered a competition to become a model – but she needs YOUR help to make it to the top.
Jess Tomlinson, 19, has been working as a model in London for a year, but also works part-time as a lifeguard at Retford Leisure Centre and as a waitress at the Town House in Bawtry.
Now, Jess has entered a competition to be a model for Next, sponsored by the magazine Grazia, and the top modelling agency, Storm Model Management.
To get through to the first round, she needs to be in the top 250 from public votes alone.
“Last year I got asked to be model when I went to get a prom dress, then I started work for an agency and I’ve been doing it ever since,” she said. “I love modelling because you meet so many lovely people and go to some great people – runway modelling especially because of the adrenaline rush.”
She added: “I need people to vote. It would just mean so much to me to win because you get to be in the Next catalogue and shops and in magazines and work with a top agency.”
“I’m very serious about doing this with my future.”
