Vandals who caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to play facilities in Thurcroft are warned they are being watched.
Wire fencing panels have been cut away from the barriers between the village football pitches and the skate park, behind Gordon Bennett Memorial Hall.
And soft rubber surfacing has been ripped up from underneath the children’s play park nearby.
The damage was reported to the police and Thurcroft Parish Council has had to fork out to repair it.
“We’ve spent thousands on these new facilities and now we’re having to shell out more just because of the mindless actions of a few,” said council chairman Jeb Nightingale.
“They should know we are watching out for them.”
