SNIPPERS at Boons hair salon in Retford are celebrating after being named as one of the UK's Most Wanted Hairdressers.
Hairdressing royalty attended the ceremony in London's trendy Shoreditch Town Hall, including Trevor Sorbie and Lee Stafford.

Boons ended up walking away with the top prize on the Most Wanted Look category for its futuristic crop style, which impressed the judges.

"I am absolutely delighted," said Clive Boon, owner of the Exchange Street salon.

"By winning the award it has put Retford on the map and made people aware that you don't need to travel to London to receive the very best in hairdressing."

As well as walking away with the accolade, Clive has also taken back 1,000 copies of a personalised magazine, which he will be distributing to his customers.

And he's hoping to add more trophies to his cabinet, as senior stylist Kelly Smith is travelling to the British Hairdressing Awards, as she's a finalist in the Eastern Hairdressers of the Year category.

"This year has been an incredible one for the salon," added Clive.

"Boons had a proud history within the British Hairdressing Awards and we hope we can carry this tradition on by winning the award this year."
