Teens killed in car crash are named by police

THE TWO teenage boys killed in a road accident this week have been identified.
Notts Police say the two 19-year-olds who died in the accident were Mark Thomas Besford, 19, of Akeferry Road, Westwood, Doncaster and Robert Mackie, 19, of St Wilfred Road, Bessacar, Doncaster.

The collision happened on the B1396 Bank End Road near Misson, near to the junction with Springs Road, about halfway between the villages of Finningley and Westwoodside.

The collision occurred at around 8.20pm on Tuesday 15th April and involved a blue Citroen Saxo and a green Volvo. Mr Besford and Mr Mackie, the driver and passenger of the Saxo, suffered fatal injuries.

The male driver of the Volvo was taken to Scunthorpe Hospital with minor injuries.

Crash investigators are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or has any information relating to it, to contact Notts police crash investigation unit on 0115 9672225.
