Retford's traffic came to a halt for a time as local scouts and guides held their annual parade and gala.
From The Common, the huge contingent made its way through town along Grove Street, The Square and Bridgegate, eventually ending up in King's Park where the celebrations continued.

An appreciative crowd of spectators joined in the fun which attracted a good show of support from both friends and parents.

After a stormy start, the weather in the afternoon was generally kind, allowing everyone who attended the event to have a good time.

This year's theme was definitely agricultural and as well as a variety of fancy-dress outfits representing scarecrows, farmers and farm animals, a number of vintage tractors were also on display along with musicians from the scouts marching band.
