Retford man attacked by youths as he walks home

A RETFORD man was punched in the face by two youths as he walked home after picking up a Chinese takeaway.

The 60-year-old man was assaulted just before 10pm on Monday 31st March after he bought a meal on Albert Road.

He was making his way home when two men approached him near to Retford Working Mens' Club. The man was punched in the face and fell to the ground.

He got up and a fight broke out with one of the men. The victim suffered injuries to his face which required hospital treatment.

The two men were between 15 and 20-years-old. Notts Police said that one of them may have had injuries to his face following the struggle.
