Police appeal for 'good Samaritans' who helped assaulted man

RETFORD Police are seeking two good Samaritans stopping to help a man who had just been assaulted.
The attack took place on Wharncliffe Road, Ordsall, at around 3am on Sunday 1st June 2008.

The victim, a man in his 20s, was riding a pedal cycle when he was attacked.

He sustained facial injuries and was taken to Bassetlaw Hospital for treatment.

Two men stopped to help the victim and investigating officer PC Lamb is urging them to come forward as they are potential witnesses.
