EVERTON Cheeky Monkeys playgroup received a cash boost of £500 thanks to their local parish council.
“This money has bought us some great new play equipment including a toy kitchen, ride-ons and new baby toys amongst other items,” said Tonia Evers, who runs the group from the village hall.

She added that councillors David Bardsley and David Wright were instrumental in helping win the local empowerment community grant.

“We are always looking for new members for Cheeky Monkeys and I would love for more children to benefit from this facility,” she added.
