A ZUMBATHON organised by a Maltby woman has raised more than £5,000 for charity.
Lisa Roberts, who teacher Zumba in Maltby, organised the two hour event back at a Rotherham nightclub in September.
Dozens of people attended and moved and shaked their way to raising thousands of pounds.
The money has now all been collected and this week Lisa revealed that they raised a fantastic £5,747.68, which will be split between The Cystic Fibrosis Trust and The National Autistic Society.
Lisa, who was helped at the event by Sarah Tatterfield, who teaches in Thurcroft and Louise Fuller, who works for Dinnington-based Inter Shape said: “It was our first charity Zumba event and it was a great success. The atmosphere was amazing.”
