The Notts Band of the Royal Engineers and Doncaster Concert Band are teaming up for a charity event in Worksop.
Worksop Lions Club presents the Band Concert on Saturday 1st October in support of Help for Heroes and Worksop Lion Charities.
The Guardian has joined up with the Worksop Lions Club to offer two lucky readers the chance to win a pair of tickets.
The concert, held at the North Notts Arena, Eastgate, is back by popular demand said club president Bill Maddison.
“The first one last year was so well received that people asked for us to put another one on,” he said.
“It was very sucessful so hopefully this one will be too.”
The two bands will play together and will end with the song from the Last Night of the Proms.
Director of The Notts Band of the Royal Engineers (Volunteers), Simon, has been a professional music director of brass bands, wind bands and choirs since 1991 and commenced their musical and military activities in July 2007.
Doncaster Concert Band had their debut concert back in 1994 and have since developed into a successful group of talented musicians performing regularly at both indoor and outdoor events.
With years of experience, from both bands, you’ll be tapping along to the music of the brass bands and staring in awe at the fantastic conductors.
Lose yourself in the power of the instruments and enjoy the rare occasion where both bands will join together for one night only.
Not only will you enjoy a wonderful evening but you will also be helping two very prestigious charities.
Bill said Worksop Lions Charities concentrates on helping those in the community who are less fortunate than others.
