Top singer-songwriter Plan B will play a major outdoor gig at Sherwood Pines Forest Park next summer.
The artist, real name is Ben Drew, will follow in the footsteps of musicians Paul Weller, Jarvis Cocker, The Beautiful South and Erasure, who have all played at the 3,000 acre site near Clipstone.
Chris Bray, concert organiser for the Forestry Commission, said: “We are committed to bringing new acts to play in Sherwood and reaching out to different audiences.”
We have had huge demand for concert tickets over recent years and we are confident Plan B will be another top seller.”
Capacity for the gig on Saturday 16th June 2012 will be set at 5,000 people. Tickets go on sale on Friday 9th December.
Tickets £32 (subject to booking fee) and can be bought from the commission’s box office on 03000 680400 or online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music.
